Stealthbits is committed to helping customers install, upgrade and maintain Stealthbits products as efficiently as possible. In order to achieve this, Stealthbits has established an End-of-Life Policy (EOL) for all software products. All customers with active maintenance contracts are entitled to the benefits set forth by this policy.

  • EOL Timeline

    STEALTHbits will provide full support for all product versions for a minimum of two versions. After two subsequent versions have been released, STEALTHbits will issue an EOL notification for the EOL software version. Once an EOL notification has been issued, that EOL software version will have twelve months until it reaches End-of-Support (EOS). The EOL for a software version applies to that version and all hot fixes and service packs issued on top of that version.

    The table below summarizes the milestones in the EOL timeline.

    Milestone Description Support
    Product release The date that the software version is made generally available. Product is fully supported including troubleshooting, hot fixes and service packs.
    First subsequent version after product release The date the first subsequent product version is released after the product release. Product is fully supported including troubleshooting, hot fixes and service packs.
    Second subsequent version after product release The date the second subsequent product version is released after the product release. Product enters EOL.
    End-of-Life Notification The date STEALTHbits announces the EOL for a software version. This occurs on or near the date of the second subsequent version after product release. Hot fixes will be delivered as needed, no service packs will be issued. Customer has six months to upgrade to a supported version.
    End-of-Support The date support ends for the software version. The EOS date is six months after the EOL notification. No hot fixes or service packs will be issued for the software version. Customer should be upgraded to a subsequent version which is fully supported by this time.

    Definition of Terms

    • End-of-Life (EOL): A process that consists of a series of technical and business milestones and activities that, once completed, make a product obsolete. Once obsolete, the product is not sold, manufactured, improved, repaired, maintained, or supported.

    • End-of-Support (EOS): The last date support will be offered and represents the final milestone in a product’s lifecycle. Support contracts expire upon reaching product EOS.

    Disclaimer: STEALTHbits may continue offering support services beyond the standard EOL period and reserves the right to charge additional fees for continuing support services on any EOL products. STEALTHbits reserves the right to reduce or amend support services offerings available for renewal under this policy at any time in its sole discretion, with or without notice. The terms and conditions of STEALTHbits Reseller Agreement, End User License Agreement, Master License and Services Agreement, as applicable, shall apply to this EOL Policy and, in the event of any conflicting terms, the applicable agreement will govern.
