This time of year is typically a time of giving, and I am here to give the gift of report security! StealthAUDIT v8.1 has new data to discover, and new report management to keep that data secure.
Version 8.1 of StealthAUDIT now equips users with Role Based Access (RBA) to control who has access to reports from the Web Console. This is a great way to isolate reports to only the users who should be able to see the sensitive information we are making available in your organization.
First things first, we need to enable RBA within StealthAUDIT by going to Settings > Roles and selecting “Add Role Member”:
After selecting, a dialogue opens to assign Users to your desired Roles (An Administrator MUST be assigned before enabling any additional Roles):
Now that RBA is enabled, the role assignment option is available for report access at the Job Group Level by selecting the [Job Group] > Settings > Reporting and selecting “Add Report Viewer”:
The role assignment option is also available for individual reports by selecting the [Job] > Configure > Reports > [Report], navigating to the Roles tab, and selecting “Add Report Viewer”:
We can now lockdown our reports to those who need them most, and only those who need them by Job Group and at the individual Job Level!
